I. Regular Business Reports
A. Report from Dean Lindey-IT
1. Looking into Student Alert System after what happened at Virginia Tech, that will offer student protection
B. Report from Brian- Blackboard
1. Had a meeting with local schools, met with a blackboard account representative
2. There are new versions of blackboard out
B. Nominations
1. Abigail Amissah-Arthur has been elected as the first-year co-convener for the 2007-2008 school year
II. Taskforces
A Grants- Received 9 grant applications, funded 8
B. Citrix- Grant proposal passed. Just a note that Adobe is not operating correctly. Inspiration program may not be used on citrix at SRU anymore, it may have been accidentally illegally installed, but Jacob is checking on that.
III. Presentation.
A. Jennifer Keller presented
B. Presentation was titled “Dance Technology”
C. Jennifer showed the computer software that students use during technology oriented dance classes
D. The program is called Isadora, and students use it to produce films which showcase dance, and incorporate a variety of interior and exterior shots.
E. In the studio, Jennifer demonstrated software that allowed her to create her own dance partner- so that she could dance the tango with a computer generated dance partner.
F. She also showed how students in the class are using technology to project portions of their dance onto white blocks, making the dance
