»	Annual SRU celebration honors Native American culture SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. – Slippery Rock University will partner with the Pittsburgh-based Council of Three Rivers American Indian Center for the second annual celebration of Native American cultures Nov. 8. The event will include displays of traditional dancing, storytelling, singing and drumming.

»	Teaching violin, viola by day; featured soloist by night SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. – By day he’s Warren Davidson, an instructor of music who teaches violin and viola and conducts of the Slippery Rock University Symphony Orchestra. But at night, he takes bow in hand slips into his black tie and tux and becomes featured soloist who plays the subtleties of such respected composers as Max Bruch with the Westmoreland Symphony Orchestra.

The all-girls residence hall burned to the ground, although everyone escaped.
