2007 Outstanding Junior in Psychology: Katelyn Palmer Katelyn is a Psychology major with a minor in Exceptionalities. She is an honors student, a Presidential Scholar, and has been on the Dean’s List every semester since beginning at SRU. She is extremely active on campus in organizations such as Psi Chi, the Student Alumni Relations Board, the University Program Board, and the Freshman Leader Scholar Program. She also volunteers her time with several community agencies, helping children with a range of problems.
2007 Outstanding Senior in Psychology: Morgan Rizzardi Morgan is a Psychology major. She is extremely active in research as well as service and leadership activities on campus. Her work with Dr. Catherine Massey on understanding the experiences of gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender individuals resulted in a poster presentation at the Association for Women in Psychology conference in San Francisco, California in March. She served as Secretary for Psi Chi this year, and in numerous other leadership roles, such as in the Newman Club, the Blue Key National Honor Society, and the Golden Key International Honor Society. She has received several awards and scholarships while also maintaining part time employment. Morgan has been accepted to Indiana University, of Pennsylvania to begin a Masters program in Student Affairs in Higher Education next fall.
2007 Outstanding Senior in Psychology: Elo Robertson Elo is a Psychology major with a minor in Women’s Studies. She has been on the Dean’s List every semester since beginning at SRU. She is a two-time recipient of the Act 101 Financial Award and was given the Outstanding Junior in Psychology Award in 2006. She has been active in research and service work. Her work with Dr. Richard Port led to a poster presentation at the SRU Symposium for Research and Scholarship in 2006, and she was part of a group who presented a poster at the Eastern Psychological Association conference in Philadelphia in March with Dr. Jennifer Sanftner. She has served as Vice President for Psi Chi as well as in several service capacities in the university and surrounding community. She has been accepted to the University of Pittsburgh to begin a Masters in Social Work program in the fall..
