Slippery Rock University hosts SmokeStopper program
SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. – Community Health Challenge of Southwestern Pennsylvania and the Butler County Tobacco Free Coalition will offer a free, eight-part series of SmokeStoppers at Slippery Rock University beginning Feb. 6.
The eight-session program, designed by SmokeStoppers Inc., will be at 6:30 p.m. in the University Union. Additional sessions will be Feb 11, 12, 13, 14, 18, 20 and 25.
“The program is designed to help people who want to stop using tobacco. As a group, participants in SmokeStoppers will help one another gain the strength and reinforcement they need to quit,” said Renee Bateman, health promotion coordinator at the University.
