Care to Share

With Dr. Marybeth Miller, Slippery Rock University

This interactive session will give teachers the opportunity to teach a 10-15 minute activity to those in attendance of the session.  The goal is for each attending teacher to lead the group in an activity they believe others may enjoy teaching.  Equipment would be provided depending upon the needs.  Teachers are asked to provide participants a handout of the activity they taught, including how the activity can be adapted for developmental appropriateness.

The second part of this Care to Share session will provide teachers an opportunity to informally share their experiences with other teachers. Topics may include motivational strategies, parent communication, getting other school staff interested in physical activity, fundraising, etc.  The format for this session will be small group roundtables with each table having a different focus topic for discussion sharing.

If you are interested in participating in this Care to Share session please contact Dr. Marybeth Miller before April 2, 2008.
