Health Services Management Program
Mission Statement

The primary mission of the Health Services Management Program is to provide a high-quality undergraduate education to a diverse traditional and non-traditional student population. The program prepares graduates for entry-level positions and graduate education programs in healthcare administration and management. Its primary focus is to prepare individuals for the challenges created by a dynamic and emerging health care culture and system.

This focus necessitates a blend of the theoretical, technical and practical aspects of health services through involvement of faculty and students in teaching, learning, research, and service. Accomplishment is gained through development and understanding of the complex interaction of the economic, financial, political, and social factors affecting the management and delivery of health care services. This foundation provides students with an appreciation for life-long learning.
