The Pennsylvania Department of Education's Act 101 Program
The Act 101 Program in the Pennsylvania Department of Education (PDE) provides funding to approximately 78 colleges and universities (public, private, and community) across the Commonwealth. Initiated by the Honorable K. Leroy Irvis in 1971 to provide academic opportunity to PA students, the Act 101 Program statewide has served thousands of graduates since its inception.

The Act 101 Directors Association
The Act 101 Directors Association is composed of membership from each of the participating colleges and universities through each school's program director. This body works with PDE to provide an efficient, equitable delivery of support services to PA students across the state. The Act 101 Directors Association includes seven regions across the state.

The Act 101 Student Leadership Conference
Annually, the Act 101 Directors Association hosts a Student Leadership Conference for program students across the Commonwealth. Act 101 Program student representatives participate in leadership opportunities, seminars, and workshops.
