POLITICAL SCIENCE CURRICULUM


Candidates for the Bachelors of Arts (BA) in Political Science degree are required
1.
to complete 36 credit hours of course work
2.
 to complete courses in five of the six areas listed below.
3.
 to complete Pols 101 and one additional course in the American Political Institutions block.
4.
 to complete Pols 105 and one additional course in the Political Theory and Thought block.
5.
 to complete either Pols 103 or Pols 263 and one additional course in the block associated  with the course elected.
6.
 to complete Pols 310, Research Methods.
7.
 to complete 18 hours in Political Science at the 300 or 400 level
8.
 to complete 40% of the total number of hours counted toward graduation at the 300 or 400 level. ( In order to accomplish this, students are strongly urged to use 300 or 400 level courses to complete their liberal studies enrichment courses.)
