Veterans Benefits at Slippery Rock University

The Veteran's Coordinator, located in the Financial Aid Office at Slippery Rock University, handles all paperwork for individuals applying for Department of Veterans Affairs (DVA) educational benefits.  Counseling and information regarding financial aid, credit for military service, and tutorial assistance is also available.  This office is also your link to the DVA in cases of problems with educational benefit processing.

BREAKING NEWS!!!!

President Bush has signed new legislation that will create a new program called Chapter 33.

However,  Chapter 33 will not go into effect until August 2009.  If you would like up-to-date information, please check out the GI Bill web page for further updates.  In the interim, this new law does increase Chapter 30 benefits beginning in the fall 2008 semester by 20%.  Since Chapter 1607 (REAP) benefits are based on Chapter 30 benefits, these monthly benefits will also increase.  When the VA has Chapter 30 and 1607 benefit amounts updated, it will be reflected on your WAVE page.
