27 STUDENTS NAMED TO SPECIAL
EDUCATION HONORARY AT SLIPPERY ROCK UNIVERSITY
SLIPPERY
ROCK, Pa. – Twenty-seven Slippery Rock University students
have been inducted into Sigma Pi Epsilon Delta, the national
special education honorary at recent campus ceremonies.
Membership
in the service-based fraternity requires the student to have
completed nine or more credit hours in special education courses
and hold a 3.25 or higher grade-point average. SRU’s
College of Education, a signature program, was the first university
in Pennsylvania to gain re-accreditation under newly established
guidelines of theNational Council for the Accreditation of Teacher
Education (NCATE).
