Purpose |

To provide a custodial crew that is familiar
with the service requirements of all types of campus
buildings.

Objective |
|
To have a custodial staff that is fully trained
and familiar with all aspects of custodial duties and campus
buildings as well as equalize the actual or perceived workload over
time.

Policy |
|
To ensure a staff with experience in various
buildings, tenure in any assigned area will be limited to three (3)
consecutive years.
|
|
Procedure |
|
In the spring of the year, management will
identify the staff who have reached a three-year tenure in their
building(s). A list of openings/buildings will be provided to
these staff members. By seniority, these staff members will
select the building in which they prefer to move, excluding the
building in which they presently work. If there are no
objections from management, moves will be finalized after the
conclusion of the spring semester. A minimum of two weeks
notice will be provided to the affected staff members. |
