VEHICLE/EQUIPMENT OIL CHANGE POLICY

Purpose
To provide a uniform schedule of oil changing.
 
Objective
To maximize the usable life of university-owned vehicles.
 
Policy
To insure that oil changes are performed in a timely fashion to insure optimum performance, in accordance with manufacturer and state recommendations.

Each vehicle is scheduled with the primary user.
 
Procedure
A. Police cars – 2500 miles

B. Car Pool vehicles – 5000 miles

C. Trash Trucks – every three (3) months

D. All others – every six (6) months

E. Equipment – Spring and Fall
