The University will review its employment practices to determine whether qualified women and racial minorities are receiving fair consideration for job opportunities.

The University will undertake appropriate outreach and recruitment activities to remedy any deficiencies identified during the review. Such actions may include:

  1. Communicating the university's obligation to provide equal opportunity without regard to gender and race among the university's executive, management, supervisory and other employees, and encouraging  such persons to take the necessary action to aid the University in meeting this obligation.

  2. Developing and complying with procedures to ensure that the university's obligation to provide equal employment opportunity is being fully implemented.

  3. Enlisting the assistance and support of all recruitment sources, including employment agencies, college placement directors and business associates for the university's commitment to provide opportunities for equal employment of women and minorities.

  4. Establishing meaningful contacts with churches, fraternities, sororities and civic organizations and leaders for such purposes as advice, education, technical assistance and referral of potential employees.

  5. Engaging in recruitment activities related to women and minorities at professional conferences.

  6. Using ethnic media for institutional and employment advertising.

  7. Publicizing the availability of on-site daycare.

  8. Requiring that qualified minority candidates are interviewed.
