UNIVERSITY TO EXHIBIT WEIDNER WORKS THAT PROBE FAMILY
DYNAMICS
SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. – The paintings and constructions of Mary
Weidner, art professor at Carnegie Mellon University, go on display
Wednesday [Feb. 26] in Slippery Rock University’s Martha
Gault Gallery followed with an artist’s reception from 6 to 8
p.m. Thursday [Feb. 27] at the gallery.
Weidner
is best known for her representations of the complex dynamics of
the most fundamental social unit -- the family. The exhibition will
include her “Gestation Document," a multiple panel work, and
the 25-panel painting "Legacy."
The
exhibit runs through March 21.
