COMMUNITY GARDEN PLOTS AVAILABLE FOR PUBLIC USE AT SRU’s MACOSKEY CENTER

           SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. – Organic gardening plots are available for public and student use at SRU’s Robert A. Macoskey Center for Sustainable Systems Education and Research. Interested person may garden individually or in groups. A donation of $20 to $30 is suggested for community members.

           Participants must sign an agreement stipulating that the gardener will:

         Refrain from using harmful chemicals

         Maintain a neat garden

         Compost vegetative matter

         Use responsible water management practices and return borrowed tools

           In return, the Macoskey Center will provide compost, a small sign for each plot, water in barrels, hand tools and rototill plots upon request.
