ROCK SOFTBALL DROPS TWO
LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – The Rock softball team traveled to Lock
Haven Thursday afternoon and came away on the losing end both
times, 3-2 and 9-1.
The
first game saw The Rock take the game to extra innings, only to
fall short. Sophomore pitcher Candice Nase
(Telford/Souderton) pitched all eight innings. Senior
Beth Rebholz (Pittsburgh/Shaler) provided the fireworks on
the offensive side with a homerun.
The
second game was more of the same. Junior Nikki Cothran
(Kansas City, MO/Sumner Academy) was given the start and kept
The Rock in the game. Trailing 2-1 until late in the game,
The Rock was unable to manage the tying and go-ahead runs.
The
Rock now falls to 8-14 on the season and 1-7 in PSAC-West
play. Lock Haven ups its record to 8-14 and 3-5 in the
PSAC-West.
