SRU Receives Second $20,000 Grant from Christopher Reeve Foundation
SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. – For the second consecutive year, the Christopher Reeve Paralysis Foundation has awarded a grant to Slippery Rock University to fund scholarships for five students with spinal cord injury. The students are in SRU’s adapted physical activity minor, a program that prepares graduates for work with children and adults with mental and physical disabilities.

SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. -- Parks and recreation/environmental education majors at Slippery Rock University are reaping the rewards of a $205,000 contract from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers given Dr. John F. Lisco, assistant professor, as they deliver lectures, operate tours and provide related historical information at the Bulltown Visitor Center and Bulltown Historical Area at Burnsville Lake, W. Va.
