To celebrate the coming of the fall season ALTER and the Macoskey Center began Harvest Fest activities. These project resembled Earth Day activities, by inviting local vendors, bands, and local environmental organizations to come to celebrate fall. This was a chance to showcase fruitful harvests from the Center gardens and offer some delicious food to those in attendance. In 2002, the Harvest Fest was replaced by the Local Harvest Lunch event, since attendance had declined in the past and because of weather. It is hoped to bring this event back in coming years.
