Our Favorite Stories

We will kick off the summer by spending time with some of the best books written for young people. In addition to reading the books, the children will enjoy fund filled activities that will extend their learning.

SUMMER SESSIONS

Our summer will be spent exploring these exciting themes through activities such as crafts, cooking, games, music, and computers. We will make, bake, and shake our way through a summer plan.

The school-age children will have a summer full of indoor and outdoor adventures at SRU. These adventures will include cooking, games, arts and crafts, and computer activities.

We are in the process of arranging a cooking class with the Campus Dining Hall and a Computer Generated Art Class with the Art Department. Stay tuned for further details.

GYMNASTICS

Lynn Spadine-Taylor of SRU Physical Education Department will again be teaching our Tuesday Gymnastics Classes. All children, preschool and school-age, attending the center on Tuesdays between 9:00 and 12:00 will participate in age appropriate gymnastics, ranging from basic tumbling to appartus use. The children will walk from the Center to the East Gym on campus for this activity.

SCHOOL-AGE AFTERNOON ACTIVITIES
(12:45-3:00)

The "Big Kids" (those who have completed kindergarten) will participate in an afternoon program designed with their special interests and energy levels in mind. Using campus and community resources, these children will have a different activity each afternoon of the week.
