LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – Bill Dovas scored three goals to account
for all the scoring as hosting Lock Haven University recorded a 3-0
win Saturday afternoon over Slippery Rock University in
Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference men’s soccer action.
The loss dropped The Rock to 1-6-1 overall and 0-1 in PSAC play.
Lock Haven improved to 3-1-2, 1-1.
Rock freshman goalie Jeremy Miceli (Smithtown,
NY/Smithtown HS) made 10 saves to keep the game close.
Lock Haven outshot SRU by a 26-7 margin.
The Rock travels to the University of the District of Columbia for
a 4 p.m. match on Wednesday and visits Shippensburg for a 2:30 p.m.
match on Saturday (Sept. 27) before returning home on Sept. 30 for
a 4 p.m. match with Pitt-Johnstown on James Egli Field.
