I.    Old Business

A.    Report from Collegis: Jamie Cavavlier

B.    Report from Information Technology: Dean Lindey

-Opinions are being solicited to determine if we should upgrade the labs from Windows 2000 to Windows XP

-New server is up and has been announced via mass email.

-Email spam filters are installed and being monitored. If you or students are having troubles receiving desirable emails, please contact the Help Desk.

C.    Professional Development Day: Bette Joseph

-TLTR thanks all who have volunteered to conduct sessions.  We still need volunteers to conduct workshops in Front Page and Dreamweaver.

D.    Personal Technology Assistant Report:  Chrissy Le Simmers

II.    New Business

A.    TLTR Grants Taskforce put out the Grants RFP and announcement.  Proposals are due        December 8, 2003.

-TLTR Grants Taskforce will meet again during Finals Week.

III.    Program:  Danette DiMarco, English Department

A.    Labtop Use and Pedagogy

-Dr. DiMarco presented their use of wireless computing in their college courses with the goal of improving writing and the pedagogy.

-The English department's Tech Fee Grant allowed them to purchase 3 Carts each equipped with 30 labtop computers and a color printer.

-Integration of Technology: Collaboration and co-authoring with the labtops allows for improved communication and changed dynamics between students while they work on their writing and revisions.

Next Meeting will be held on December 11, 2003.
