Using Teleform Software to Facilitate Expansion of Student Faculty Research

TLTR funded the purchase of TELEFORM software for the purposes of continuing the SRU Student Health Assessment Project – SRU SHAP.  I have received the software, thus the $3,500 was spent.   I submitted a Technology Fee proposal for the automated high speed scanner to read the custom designed questionnaires that TELEFORM generates.  Thus, the project was contingent upon funding two separate pieces of equipment – TELEFORM software and a high speed scanner.

I was notified that no  2003 Technology Fee proposals were funded.  I also submitted a College of Health, Environment and Science grant proposal.  The proposal was given a fundable score, but was not funded (see attached memo). 

Currently, after being advised by Dr. Jane Fulton, Dean, CHES, I am pursuing a funding source via PA tobacco settlement funds.  I am working on this but plan to submit another Technology Fee request as well. 

I am fairly confident that funding for the scanner will come, but at this time I have nothing to report as progress is stalled until the scanner is obtained.
