Rentals Policy and Procedure

• All operators of university owned vehicles must possess a valid Pennsylvania driver’s license.

• Daily & long term arrangements are available.   Vehicles can be reserved through a Vehicle Request Form.
• Charges are per mile @ current Commonwealth mileage rates.
             Cars:  $0.475/mile        Vans: $0.575/mile
• Cancellation fee applies if less than 24 hours prior to departure.

Types of Vehicles Available for Rental

• Car, 5 passengers
• Minivan, 7 passengers
• Twelve Passenger Van
• Fifteen Passenger Van *(Completion of a Driver training program required prior to permission to operate; contact the Safety Department at extension 2465.)

Safety

• Operators of all university vehicles must follow Commonwealth of Pennsylvania vehicle laws.

• Seatbelts must be worn by all occupants of university vehicles.
• An itinerary and roster must be submitted for applicable trips.
• Emergency kits are available through the Safety Office extension 2565.
• All accidents must be reported (Vehicle Accident Policy and Procedure) and you must fill out a Vehicle Accident Reporting form.
