If you are a new freshman students, an Orientation Advisor or an advisor from the department in which you have chosen your major, registered you for your first semester. If you entered the University as a transfer student, the chairperson of the department in which you have chosen your major registered you for your first semester.

For your second semester at Slippery Rock, you will develop your own schedule in consultation with your academic advisor. The following are a few helpful hints which can aid you in developing a schedule.

Helpful Hints on Preparing for Registration:

Registration letters are e-mailed to all students in mid- October (for Spring Registration) and in early March (for Fall Registration). This letter lists the date and time frame in which you are eligible to register. You may register on or after this date. As students register, courses will begin to fill, so it is important that you try to register on the date provided in your letter. If you are unsure, please contact the Academic Records and Summer School Office at 107 Old Main to find out the date and time frame in which you are eligible to register for classes.
