Biography:
Dr. Wenhao Liu has joined SRU since fall 2004 semester. Before joining SRU, Dr. Liu spent two years teaching PETE courses at The Sage Colleges in New York State, 14 years teaching PETE courses in Wuhan Institute of Physical Education, China, and one year in Sweden as a visiting researcher conducting research on sports behavior.
Dr. Liu has published more than 40 peer-reviewed papers and made more than thirty refereed presentations at national and international conferences of professional societies. In recent years Dr. Liu has focused his research on physical activity and received national recognitions in research. Since 2007 Dr. Liu has been elected to Research Consortitum Fellow in AAHPERD. In 2008, his book and chapter dealing with children’s sports involvement and physical activity participation were published in Germany and the U.S. respectively.
