Students who have completed, or will complete, Level 2 of the Compass Leadership Program prior to Spring Break are eligible to apply to be a participant in the International Leadership Trip.
Approximately 15 students will be selected to participate in the tour. Consideration will be given to students who are involved in formal leadership programs or activities. If necessary, interviews will be utilized for final selection of participants.
Applications must be completed and returned to the Vice President for Student Life Office (302 Old Main) no later than Friday, November 9, 2012.
The total cost of the tour, per participant, is $1,695 including airfare, all overnight accommodations, transportation to and from airport, breakfast each morning, and some dinners and activities. Costs not covered are daily lunches, some dinners, souvenirs and additional activities elected by students during free time.
A deposit in the amount of $695 is due no later than Friday, November 9, 2012 with the application. The deposit will be refunded if the student is not selected to participate. If selected to participate, the deposit is non-refundable. Deposit checks should be made payable to “Slippery Rock University”. At least half of the non-refundable balance of $1,000 will be due no later than December 14, 2012, along with a copy of the student’s home country passport, to the Vice President for Student Life Office (302 Old Main). All remaining balances must be paid by January 25, 2013.
