Intramural Sport Registrations Due for Basketball and Roller Hockey
Intramural Basketball and Roller Hockey team registrations are due on
Wednesday, February 1 by 7:00 p.m. All participants must be entered in IMLeagues to register for the event. For more information click on Intramural Sports for IMLeagues registration procedure.
Program Pass
Aqua Fitness and Group Fitness classes, Cycle Aerobics classes and series and
Kayak Roll Clinics will require students and ARC Members to purchase a Program Pass for access. Classes run from January 30-May 7 but will NOT be conducted during Spring Break or Easter weekend. Fees: Semester-$30.00 4 Weeks-$20.00 Purchase in ARC 117.
Safety Certification Classes
Two Safety Certification classes are scheduled for the week of January 30. On
Monday, January 30, a CPR class is scheduled to meet from 7-10 p.m. and on Thursday a First Aid Challenge will be conducted during common Hour (beginning at 12:30 p.m.). Advanced registration is required. Complete registrations in the Campus Recreation Office, ARC 117.
Kayak Roll Clinic
A Kayak Roll Clinic is scheduled for Monday, January 30 beginning at 7:00 p.m..
The clinic will be conducted in the ARC Aquatics Center. The purchase of a Program Pass is required for access to all Kayak Roll Clinics as well as Group Exercise classes for the balance of the semester.
Kayaking for Kids
The spring semester session of Kayaking for Kids will be conducted on Saturday,
February 4 from 9-11:00 a.m. at the ARC's aquatic center. The program is FREE to ARC Member's youth dependents and a fee of $8.00 for others. The program will teach basic skills of kayaking. Experienced or beginning kayakers eager to learn more about kayaking are welcomed. Equipment provided by SRU Outdoor Adventures.
New ARC Member Parking Fee Rescinded
The new parking fee that was to be assessed of ARC Members has been rescinded. Members will continue to receive a FREE parking pass for the East Lake Parking lot. Parking passes will be issued at the ARC with the pass good for the duration of the membership purchased by the individual. Members are encouraged to pick up a new a parking pass before the start of the spring semester scheduled to begin on Monday, January 23.
2012 Brian's Ride Mini Triathlon
The fifth annual Brian's Ride Mini Triathlon (400 yard swim, 10.5 mile bike and
2.5 mile run) will be conducted on Sunday, May 6, 2012 beginning at 8:00 a.m.. The event raises awareness and funds for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and Brian's Ride. Click on registration materials to access the registration and waiver forms.
The MAC
The MAC, The McFarland Recreational Sports Complex, is closed for the winter
and will reopen in March, 2012. The MAC is not available for use for either scheduled or unscheduled play. The flying of the RED FLAG indicates that play on the fields is prohibited.
