The Office of Campus Recreation operates the Slippery Rock University Ski Lodge and Campground. Reservations for either of these areas are on a first-come, first-serve basis. A permit must be secured from the Office of Camps and Conference Services, located in office number 104 in Morrow Field House prior to Ski Lodge or Campground use. The phone number is 724.738.2027.
Ski Lodge, Campground & ARC Outfitter are located a quarter mile northeast of the ARC (next to the ROCK Apartments) on 6 plus acres of land. The Ski Lodge rustic design offers a variety of opportunities for students to gather on campus. Shower and restroom facilities are available inside the lodge. The ARC Outfitter, located in the Ski Lodge, rents outdoor equipment for a modest fee. Most of the equipment is back country oriented and includes tents, backpacks. The Campground is comprised of 18 sites over several acres of land and offers both electrical (10) and non electric campsites in the campground adjacent to the Ski Lodge. Most sites have a picnic table and fireplace with receptacles for dumping hot coals. Sites are ideal for camping, picnicking and recreational activities. Camping permits can be purchased in the ARC room 117.

Ski Lodge:
Keys must be picked up from and returned to the Office of Camps and Conference Services, located in office number 104 in Morrow Field House prior to Ski Lodge or Campground use. There is a $50.00 security deposit required before receiving keys.
Rules and Regulations
☼ Alcoholic beverages are not permitted without an alcohol permit. Permits may be obtained in advance from Environmental and Safety (724) 738-2465 from 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM Monday-Friday. Please give four weeks notice for application.
☼ Occupancy of each camp site is limited to one family unit (persons living under one household) or one non-family group of no more than four persons, including a responsible individual of 18 years or older.
☼ Users are responsible for maintaining and leaving these areas in a clean and orderly fashion at all times and properly using all facilities and equipment provided.
☼ Fires are permitted only in camp stoves or fireplaces provided. All fires must be extinguished prior to leaving or retiring for the night. Fire must not be left unattended nor allowed to grow large. You must also provide your own firewood.
☼ Firearms and archery equipment are not permitted except if necessary for academic classes or sanctioned activities. All firearms must be registered with the University Police Office at (724) 738-3333.
☼ Vehicles are allowed in designated areas only, during occupancy of the Campground or Ski Lodge.
☼ All laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and the regulations of SRU must be adhered to.
☼ Violations of the rules and regulations or any misrepresentation by individuals or groups will warrant cancellation of camping and Ski Lodge privileges and or legal action.
