The Office of Campus Recreation offers leadership opportunities through student employment and academic practicum's and internships to over 130 students each semester.

The Office of Campus Recreation accepts applications two times during the course of each year. The time lines are as follows:

Semester of Employment Summer/Fall Spring
Application Timelines March 15-April 1 November 1-15

The hiring of student employees is based upon vacancies available in each area of employment; Aquatic Center, Climbing Wall, Fitness Center, Group Exercise Instructors, Intramural Sports and Welcome Center. 

Students interested in working at the Welcome Center must attend an orientation session.  Students interested in working must then complete an submit an applications.  Student interviews will be scheduled based upon the orientation session results.  For information on applications and availabilities contact a member of the Campus Recreation Team in the appropriate area.  To complete an application click on

Campus Recreation Student Employees are responsible for the knowing and applying the policies and procedures listed in the Student Employee Handbook.

ARC Academic Year Hours:
Mon-Thurs: 6am - 11pm
Fri: 6am - 9pm
Sat: 9am - 9pm
Sun: Noon - 9pm

Play is prohibited at the MAC (McFarland Recreational Sports Complex) when the RED FLAG is flying. The MAC will be closed from December 1-March 1.

When the University is on a 2 hour delay due to weather, the ARC will not open up until 10:00 a.m..
