 Intramural Sports Staff 

 

SPOTLIGHT

The Intramural Sports Staff is comprised of professional, Coop Interns, undergraduate students, interns and practicum students. The Director of Campus Recreation is ultimately responsible for the program with the Coop Interns serving as the point person for the day to day operations of the program.  Additional support is provided by student employees in positions such as  Supervisors, Officials, and Score-keepers. The Intramural Sports program also provides opportunities for quality learning experiences through student internships, practicum, and volunteer hours. The Intramural Sports program employs over 100 students annually.

The Intramural Sports Department annually accepts appliciations for student employees and practicums in early November and mid March. All interested parties contact or submit appliction, resume and 3 references the IM Sports Department. Students interested in applying for Site Supervisor/Practicum positions, should submit a completed Campus Recreation application,resume and 3 current references to:

Students need no prior officiating experience; just a love for sports and a willingness to learn. Rules and mechanics for each sport are learned through participation in various Intramural Sports Officials' Training Clinics. Students interested in officiating various Intramural Sports must fill out an Official's Information Form and send it to the above addresses, or drop it off at the IM Sports Office located in the ARC, Room 118.

Play is prohibited at the MAC (McFarland Recreational Sports Complex) when the RED FLAG is flying. The MAC will be closed from December 1-March 1.

When the University is on a 2 hour delay due to weather, the ARC will not open up until 8:00 a.m..
