 Outdoor Adventures

SPOTLIGHT

Outdoor Adventure Goal
Our goal is to provide the University community with adventure programming that will allow you to tap into your adventurous side and “live in the moment”. Through these programs we provide challenges and experience to all participants to aide in individual and group development.

Outdoor Adventure Mission
Our mission is to provide recreational opportunities to the University community that enhances the academic, recreational and leisure experiences of all community members. We are excited to provide these opportunities and look  forward to enriching the lives of those in the Slippery Rock Community.

Outdoor Adventure Programs:
Slippery Rock University’s Outdoor Adventure programs are by nature physically and psychologically demanding.  Although reasonable precautions are taken, injuries are possible.  Please be prepared to accept these circumstances and to do your part to prevent accidents.  If you have any doubt about your physical or mental preparedness for the activities of the workshop/class, please consult with the Outdoor Adventure Coordinator and your physician before participation.  Surgical procedures, fractures, bad sprains or major illness/injuries that occurred less than one year ago require a physicians’ release to participate.  Youth-Minimum age 14, Youth age 14-17 requires parent or legal guardian, age 21 or older, to participate.
