Aquatic Programs
The registration deadline for all aquatic programs is the Thursday before the start of class. Advanced registration and payment required. Private Lessons conducted by outside instructors are Prohibited. For “By Appointment” programs please contact our Aquatic Coordinator, Jim Yeamans @ 724.738.4516. Summer aquatic programs will not be conducted the week of June 29-July 3 due to the Independence Day holiday.

Arthritis Stretch Class: Participants engage in the use of gentle movements to help increase range of motion while decreasing stiffness and pain.

Non-Member fee: Daily Guest Pass

Private Lessons: (Age 13+) Campus Recreation offers a variety of private lessons for teen and adult.  Each appointment is 30 minutes.   Must talk to Jim Yeaman’s, Aquatic Coordinator before registering for Private Swim Instruction.

Youth Aquatic Programs
Strokes/Starts/Turns (Ages 8+):
Class offers opportunity for swimmers age 8 and up to improve Back, Breast, butterfly and Freestyle strokes, starts and turns.

June 23 & 25 Fundamentals of Strokes, Starts & Turns
June 30 & July 2 Butterfly
July 7 & 9 Backstroke
July 14 & 16 Breast Stroke
July 21 & 23 Freestyle
July 28 & 30 Stroke Medley
Days: T/R
Time: 10-11:00 a.m.
Member Fee: $10/Stroke
Non-Member Fee: $15/Stroke

Strokes/Starts/Turns Clinics: (Ages 8+) Weekly preseason clinics will be conducted in conjunction with the start of the swim season.
Concentration will be on strokes, starts and turns.
Dates: September 13, 20 and Oct. 4
Days: Saturdays
Time: 10:30 a.m.-Noon
Member Fee: $10/Stroke
Non-Member Fee: $15/Stroke

Youth Swim Instructions (Ages 3-12):  
Fall and Spring Semester Weekday Sessions: 5
week sessions, 2 classes weekly
Saturday classes:
4 week sessions
Summer Sessions:
3 week sessions, 2 classes weekly
Skill level determined at first class.
Level 1 Intro to Water Skills:
Helps develop positive attitudes, good swimming habits and safe practices around the water.
Level 2 Fundamentals of Aquatic Skills:
Gives success with fundamental skills.  Learn to float and recover to a vertical position.
Level 3 Stroke Development:  Builds on skills from Level 2 and develops strokes through additional guided practice in deeper water.

Play is prohibited at the MAC (McFarland Recreational Sports Complex) when the RED FLAG is flying. The MAC will be closed from December 1-March 1.
