PROGRAM PASS: Aqua Fitness and Group Fitness classes, Cycle Aerobics and Kayak Roll Clinics are pay to play programs.  To have access to these programs both students and ARC Members will need to invest in the new program pass and present it at each session.  The cost is $50.00 for the academic year, $30.00 for a semester and $20.00 for a four week session.  The cost of a Program Pass is $20.00 for the entire summer and provides unlimited access to all classes. Passes can be purchased in the Campus recreation Office, ARC 117.

Group Exercise Classes: The Group Exercise program offers classes geared towards improving cardiovascular health and body composition changes. Classes taught by nationally certified instructors. Classes are held daily during the academic year and typically include Kickboxing, High/Low, Hip-Hop, Sculpt, Step, Pilates, Zumba, Boot Camp and Yoga. Step classes are first come first serve for available equipment. Step saving is prohibited. Group fitness classes are ONLY for those who have purchased a Program Pass. No children under the age of 12 permitted and adults come first. A complete schedule of classes will be posted and available at the start of each semester at the Welcome Center.  Group Exercise classes listed in GREEN are conducted on land in Gym B and those listed in BLUE  are Aqua classes scheduled for the pool.

CLASS DESCRIPTIONS:  
Arthritis Stretch:  Participants will use gentle movements to help increase range of motion while decreasing stiffness and pain.  This class will help improve strength and flexibility.

Boot Camp: Challenge every muscle group, improve your cardio strength, and push yourself to a new level of fitness.  A multi-level class, begin with the level best for you.

Core Blast: Help improve your midsection with strength, function, and balance exercises using the stability ball and BOSU.

Zumba: A fitness program inspired by Latin dance. Principles of fitness interval training and resistance training maximize caloric output, fat burning, and total body toning. It’s a way of mixing body sculpting movements with easy-to-follow dance steps,” says creator Beto Perez. “It’s fun and addictive.”

Cardio Challenge: Low intensity, long duration cardio using various equipment.

Buts n’ Guts: "Feel the burn with intense crunches, leg lifts, back exercises, and squats/lunges. Come to this class to help shape up quick, while adding strength and power."

ROCKspinning: Challenge yourself wit various hills, intervals and springs on a bike.  This class is great  for changing up your everyday exercise routine.

Power Yoga: Power yoga combines traditional yoga postures with dynamic strength exercises through a breath-linking flow routine.  It is a challenging total body strength and cardio workout.

Tighten, Tone, & Transform:
Target virtually every area of the body with unique strength and toning exercises designed to help you lose inches. Supplement your cardio and strength training with this class and you will see terrific results.

Yoga Fit: Designed to improve the health, performance, and mental acuity of athletes or individuals interested in improving their level of fitness. Based on the ancient fitness science of hatha yoga, it blends balance, strength, flexibility and power in a fitness format. Yoga Fit overcomes the mystery of yoga by delivering a practical, user-friendly style, which is accessible, understandable, and doable by individuals at any level of fitness.)

Plyo Pump: An intense cardio workout filled with interval polymeric movements with core strength and abdominal focus.  Each class is different and can be modified to your fitness level.  All fitness levels welcome.

Cardio Kickboxing: This fun and high energy class combines medium to high intensity cardio, strength and agility exercises with a variety of kicks, punches and other boxing specific moves to elevate your heart rate and while toning every muscle in your body.  Come ready to sweat! 

Group Exercise Class Notes
