 2012-2013 Open Kayaking 

 

SPOTLIGHT

PROGRAM PASS: Group Fitness classes, which include ROCK Spinning and Aquacise, and Open Kayaking are pay to play programs.  To have access to these programs both students and ARC Members are required to invest in a Program Pass and present it at each session.  The cost is $50.00 for the academic year, $30.00 for a semester and $20.00 for a four week session.  Passes can be purchased in the Campus Recreation Office, ARC 117.

Open Kayak Sessions:
Have fun in the ARC pool while learning essential kayak paddling strokes and maneuvers. No previous experience is necessary to enjoy this program! Students and ARC members along with youth ages 14-17 (accompanied by an adult) are encouraged to participate. Instructors are available for limited instruction however open kayaking is not a structured course. Campus Recreation provides all the necessary equipment!

All sessions are from 7-10 p.m. with the exception of March 1 being conducted from 7-9 p.m.

The purchase of a Program Pass is required to access the Kayak Roll Clinics conducted throughout the academic year.

Play is prohibited at the MAC (McFarland Recreational Sports Complex) when the RED FLAG is flying. The MAC will be closed from December 1-March 1.

When the University is on a 2 hour delay due to weather, the ARC will not open up until 8:00 a.m..
