SPOTLIGHT

2014-2015 SPORT CLUBS
The Sport Clubs program promotes opportunities for ROCK students with similar interests to participate in a wide variety of recreational sports.   Sport Clubs bridge the gap between intramural and intercollegiate athletics by providing competition at specialized levels, participation in tournaments and opportunities to practice.   A primary goal of the Sport Clubs program is to develop the leadership skills of ROCK students through participation.   Every club is formed, developed and governed by its student membership in conjunction with Campus Recreation.   New clubs can follow procedures to become a recognized SRU organization by registering with the Center for Student Involvement and Leadership. Students benefit from Sport Clubs participation by gaining leadership experience, traveling to other universities to compete, learning a new sport or maintaining sports skills and staying competitive in a sport you love.
