Slippery Rock University 125
Throughout 2014, Slippery Rock University will celebrate their 125 birthday with a series of activities.  Celebrating 125 years: 
 As new regulations came from the state board of education, the Slippery Rock Normal School grew in its academic offerings. By the mid-1920s, the normal school could award two baccalaureate degrees in three areas – elementary education, junior high school and health education.

ARC Hours: Please not the change in ARC hours later in the week of April 14.  ARC hours will be as follows:
Thursday, April 17-6 a.m.-9 p.m.
Friday, April 18-6 a.m.-7 p.m.
Saturday, april 19-9 a.m.-6 p.m.
Sunday, april 20-6-9 p.m. ONLY

PIRSA West Basketball Championships
Congratulations to Slippery Rock University's intramural sports champions Easy Threezy (men) and Team Bucci (women) on winning the 2014 PIRSA West Basketball Championships. Team Bucci lost to Edinboro in the round robin play by six points and then came back and soundly defeated them in the championship game by a score of 39-29.  Easy Threezy breezed through the tournament undefeated capping off the day with a 41-38 victory over Slippery Rock's second men's entry in the tournament, Dream Team.  This was a rematch of the SRU Mug League championship game played on Thursday, March 13.  A total of nine institutions were entered; California University, CCAC North, CCAC South, CCAC West, Clarion University, Edinboro University, Robert Morris University and Youngstown State University as well as Slippery Rock.

3. Mini Triathlon: Sunday, April 27 This competition begins with a 400 yard swim followed by a 10.5 mile bike ride and 2.5 mile run on the Slippery Rock University campus. Click on:

Play is prohibited at the MAC (McFarland Recreational Sports Complex) when the RED FLAG is flying. The MAC will be closed from December 1-March 1.
