 Women's Ice Hockey

The women's ice hockey team is open to all females regardless of skill level.  We are members of the DII American College Hockey Association as well as the DII Delaware Valley Collegiate Hockey Conference.

Club Overview

The Slippery Rock University Women's Ice Hockey team began their first season in 2001-2002. The team is comprised of women who range in skill level. However, when it comes to playing hockey, we are all here for the same reasons: to have fun and to get the younger girls interested in playing hockey. The Women's Ice Hockey team is a club team funded by the SRU Student Government Association.
              2011 Women's Ice Hockey Team
The SRU Women’s Ice Hockey team joined the American Collegiate Hockey Association (ACHA) Women’s Division 2 for the 2006-2007 season. This season (2008-2009) marks the second year for the Rock as proud members of the DVCHC. Within this conference, we join the likes of other women’s collegiate teams for a chance to compete against one another all around the region. Ultimately, SRU women’s hockey would like to compete with the best and play on a national level.
