SPOTLIGHT

Private Lessons: (Age 13+) Campus Recreation offers a variety of private lessons for teen and adult.  Each appointment is 30 minutes.   Must talk to Jim Yeaman’s, Aquatic Coordinator before registering for Private Swim Instruction.

2014 Fall Semester
Strokes/Starts/Turns Clinics:
(Ages 8+) Weekly preseason clinics will be conducted in conjunction with the start of the swim season. Concentration will be on strokes, starts and turns.
Dates: September 13, 20 and Oct. 4
Days: Saturdays
Time: 10:30 a.m.-Noon
Member Fee: $10/Stroke
Non-Member Fee: $15/Stroke

Youth Swim Instructions (Ages 3-12):
Fall and Spring Semester Weekday Sessions: 5 week sessions, 2 classes weekly
Starting Dates: September 9 & October 21
Weekdays: Tuesdays & Thursdays
Times: 5-6 p.m.
Skill level determined at first class.
Level 1 Intro to Water Skills:
Helps develop positive attitudes, good swimming habits and safe practices around the water.
Level 2 Fundamentals of Aquatic Skills:
Gives success with fundamental skills. Learn to float and recover to a vertical position.
Level 3 Stroke Development: Builds on skills from Level 2 and develops strokes through additional guided practice in deeper water.
Member Fee: $40/Stroke
Non-Member Fee: $50/Stroke

ROCK Fit Youth:
Prerequisite: Ages 10-15 + Minimum height of 4’10”
Instructional weight training course designed specifically for youth/teens, focusing on using correct lifting procedures and the five fitness components: muscular strength and endurance, flexibility, body composition and cardiovascular conditioning.
Days-Monday and Wednesday or Tuesday and Thursday
Starting Dates-Fall Semester: September 8 and October 20 
Spring Semester: February 2 and March 23
Times: 2:30-3:30 p.m.
Durations: 5 Week Sessions 
Member Fee: $25
Non-Member Fee: N/A


Spring Semester 2015
Youth Swim Instructions (Ages 3-12):

Class offers opportunity for swimmers age 8 and up to improve Back, Breast, butterfly and Freestyle strokes, starts and turns.

Summer Youth Certificate (Ages 10-15): Youth whose parents are a current ARC Member are eligible for this program that enables youth to use the RWFC during summer hours.  The student must participate in three orientations and pass the fitness test. Adult ARC Members must supervise youth in RWFC.

McFarland Youth Tennis Tournament: Boys and girls divisions for ages 12 and under and 14 and under.  JUSTAS sanctioned tournament.  Registration on line at SUTRA website.
