The SafeZone symbol is a message to all gay, lesbian, bisexual, questioning and transgendered students and colleagues. The message is that a person displaying this symbol is one who will be understanding, supportive and trustworthy if a gay, lesbian, bisexual, questioning and transgendered student needs help, advice or just someone with whom she/he can talk.
The faculty, staff and interns of the Slippery Rock University Counseling Center have been SafeZone trained and welcome students of all sexual and gender orientations.
