"Issue Oriented Programs FOR Students BY Students"
The HOPE peer education program at Slippery Rock University presents important health-related information to college students on a variety of issues, including underage and dangerous drinking, safer sex practices, stress management, prevention of sexualty transmitted infections and healthy living.9 Trained peer educators develop and present programs that are designed to be highly informative and interactive. HOPE programs are available to any student classroom, group, or organization. Programs can be scheduled by calling 724-738-4888 at least two weeks in advance. In addition to the following programs, HOPE peer educators design outreach activities during “awareness weeks & months.”
