SPOTLIGHT

ATM Machines 

ATM Machines are located at the Smith Student Center, Weisenfluh Dining Hall,and Watson Mailroom. Several ATM's are located in town and at area banks.
ROCK Dollars

A ROCK Dollars account can be established by any student at the Office of Student Accounts in Old Main. ROCK Dollars is a prepaid account that acts as a debit system for use in the bookstore and most campus vending machines. You can add cash to your account at any time.
Vending Machines

Vending Machines area located in all campus buildings. Residence hall vending machines are located in lounge and recreation areas. Most vending machines accept ROCK Dollars and all machines accept cash. Vending machines support Student Government Association (SGA) Programs.
Laundry Rooms

Laundry rooms are located in all residence halls. Buildings A, B, D, E, F and
Watson Hall have laundry rooms located on each floor. Washers and dryers
cost $1.25 for each cycle.
Free Newspapers

Free Newspapers are provided in residence hall lobbies. USA Today and the Rocket (campus newspaper) are available. The campus Readership program is sponsored in part by the Association of Residence Hall Students (ARHS).
The McLachlan Student Health Center

The McLachlan Student Health Center is located in Rhoads hall and is open 24-hours a day, seven days a week. You will need to provide the Health Center with a health history before you can use this service. Please return your health history before and meningitis vaccination proof or signed waiver form before the start of the fall semester. Students not returning these items must complete them to check into their residence hall on opening day. You should also contact the Health Center if you need to make arrangements for a sharps container, flu shots, immunizations, and other health related questions.
Counseling services

Counseling services are available at the Student Counseling Center located in Rhoads Hall. One time and continuing appointment are available for a variety of needs including feeling homesick, experiencing stress, substance abuse, and other personal counseling needs.
The Student Recreation Center (ARC)

The Student Recreation Center (ARC) is your full service fitness location. Your access is free with your student ID. Check out the weight and cardio room, pool, basketball, elevated track, and climbing walls.
Campus Dining

Campus Dining options include Boozel and Weisenfluh dining halls. You
will need your student ID for entry. The Market Place Convenience Store
(located in Weisenfluh), Rocky's Grille (located in the Student Center) and Taylor and Burns Coffee Shops (located in Library, University Union, and Watson Hall) are the perfect stops for something quick, grilled or on the go. Use your ROCK Dollars, flex fund, and cash at these locations.
SGA Bookstore

The SGA Bookstore is located in the University Union. In addition to textbooks and SRU apparel, you can also find many of your daily personal and academic supply needs. The SGA bookstore also accepts cash, credit cards, checks and provides fax services to students with an SRU ID.
University Police

University Police is a fully sanctioned Police Department that provides 24-hour, year-round service. Officers provide campus patrols, respond to campus emergencies, investigate crimes, and provide parking permits.
Cable TV

Cable TV is free and includes many popular TV channels. To report an issue with your cable, call 724-738-4357.
Laptop check-out

Laptop check-out is available in all residence halls for students
assigned to live in the building. Access to lap tops is 24 hours from the Desk
Attendant with your student ID. You can request printing for academic work, which may be picked up at the front desk in all residence halls.
Break Housing

Break Housing is available to students who make appropriate arrangements. Residence halls are closed during Thanksgiving, semester break and spring break. Look for signs in your hall regarding making arrangements to stay. Slippery Rock University residence halls are closed between December 21- January 2
