The Bridge Project
As part of Student Health Services, the Health Promotion Office strives to promote student wellness by offering comprehensive health education and advocating for a campus and local community that support student well being.
The goal of the Health Promotion office is to develop, implement, and evaluate comprehensive health and wellness promotion programs. These are based on the needs and interests of the campus. This office works directly with faculty, administrators, and students, as well as coordinating services with local and regional community agencies. The Health Promotion Office is located in the Student Health Center in Rhoads Halls. For more information, please contact the Health Promotion Coordinator, Renee Bateman, at 724-738-4206.

HOPE - Healthy Outreach Through Peer Education
"Issue Oriented Programs FOR Students BY Students"
The HOPE Program at Slippery Rock University presents important health-related information to college students on a variety of issues, including alcohol abuse, safer sex, and stress. Trained peer educators develop and present programs that are designed to be highly informative and interactive. HOPE programs are available to any student classroom, group, or organization. Programs can be scheduled by calling 738-4888 at least two weeks in advance. In addition to the following programs, HOPE peer educators design outreach activities during “awareness weeks & months.”
