The Smith Student Center Information Desk serves as a ticketing box office for numerous events held at Slippery Rock University.  The University Program Board, Dance Department, and Theatre Department all utilize the Student Center Information Desk as a convenience to patrons.  To request ticket sale services, please contact the director or complete the Ticketing Request Form.

The Information Desk is staffed when the Student Center is open for regular operating hours.  Patrons may purchase tickets in person or by telephone at 724-738-4926.  Select shows may offer tickets for sale by internet.

Smith Student Center Ticket Policy

All patrons, regardless of age, must have a ticket to enter the auditorium, including children and infants.

All ticket sales are final, nonrefundable and not exchangeable.

Order fees will be added to ALL tickets as follows:

Student Center Service Fee: The Student Center Box Office adds a $.50 (fifty cent) per ticket transaction fee for all ticketed events initiated in the Student Center.  This fee pays the ongoing software maintenance and supply costs for the ticketing program. 

Online: A $2.00 per ticket convenience charge will be added to all online purchases. When tickets are authorized to be mailed, a $2.00 fee per order will be charged for patrons requesting mail service. Tickets will not be mailed within seven days of a performance.  Tickets will not be mailed to students ordering tickets at a discounted student rate online.  All student sales must be claimed at Will Call one hour before the show by presentation of the student’s valid university id.  On-line orders may end at midnight the business day prior to the performance in order to prepare the Will Call list.

Phone: Telephone orders incur any service fees applied to regular box office, walk-in sales.  Patrons ordering by telephone may request that tickets be mailed. When tickets are authorized to be mailed, a $2.00 fee per order will be charged for patrons requesting mail service. Tickets will not be mailed within seven days of a performance.  Tickets will not be mailed to students ordering tickets at a discounted student rate by phone.  All student sales must be claimed at Will Call one hour before the show by presentation of the student’s valid university id.

Mailing Procedures: First class mail through the U.S. Postal Service is used for all mail orders to the address provided during the sales transaction.  Tracking service is NOT included, and the university is not responsible for items lost or mishandled during mailing.  Customers purchasing tickets over the phone or by internet have the option to leave tickets in a Will Call status to claim at the ticket box office on the day of the show.

Event Specific Fees: Although not common, an event sponsor may establish additional per ticket or per order fees for a specific series or event.  Any such fees will be appropriately labeled and advertised to patrons.

General Information for Reserved Seat Events: Tickets are filled periodically throughout the day by staff members that do have other non-box office obligations to fulfill. We will select the best seat available at the time ticket orders are entered.  If there is a specific seat you would like, you should order it on-line where an additional $2.00 per ticket convenience charge applies.

Will Call: The Will Call desk is open one hour prior to a show. Please be prepared to provide a photo ID or your order confirmation. SRU students, plan to show your SRU ID. Will Call tickets must be claimed 15 minutes prior to show time.  Unless otherwise advertised, patrons should pick up Will Call tickets at the Student Center Information Desk before proceeding to the performance venue.

 Privacy Policy

Slippery Rock University recognizes that the growth of online services, including Internet services, has created additional privacy concerns, particularly for its constituents.

Online privacy concerns focus on the protection of "person identifiable" information, which an individual reasonably expects to be kept private. As the term suggests, "person identifiable" information is information which can be associated with a specific individual or entity, including, for example, a person's name, address or telephone number, e-mail address, and information about online activities that are directly linked to them.

Slippery Rock University knows that you care how information about you is used and shared, and we appreciate your trust that we will do so carefully and sensibly. This notice describes our privacy policy.

Information Collection

If you browse the Slippery Rock University Ticket website, you do so anonymously. We do not collect personal information. We do log your IP address (the Internet address of your computer) to give us an idea of which parts of our website you visit, but we do not link your IP address to anything personally identifiable. This site activity data is used only for standard reporting purposes to evaluate site content and performance.

When you create a user name and password on the SRU ticketing site, that information is captured and stored in our secure ticketing database.  The following information is collected and stored when you submit a ticket order online: name, address, contact phone, email address, tickets purchased, payment method, and amount of sale.  In addition, each of our shows has associated interest codes.  These codes are attached to your sales record and may be used by Slippery Rock University to facilitate contact with you about other similar events.

Disclosure

Slippery Rock University adheres to all State and Federal statutes and regulations that prohibit information disclosure for students, employees and other constituents. Slippery Rock University will not sell, trade, or otherwise disclose any person identifiable information in any manner that is not in conformity with applicable State or Federal statutes.

Slippery Rock University takes appropriate steps to communicate all privacy policies and guidelines to all employees.

Security

Slippery Rock University is fully committed to data security. To prevent unauthorized access, maintain data accuracy and ensure the appropriate use of information, we have put in place physical, electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure your information. The security of your information is protected during transmission by using Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) software, which encrypts transmitted information. We will continue to enhance our security procedures as new technology becomes available.

We urge you to take every precaution to protect your personal data. It is important for you to protect against unauthorized access to your access codes and to your computer. Do not share your access codes with others. Be sure to sign off when finished using a shared computer.
