Special Collections material is primarily paper-based, but other media are also included if they meet collecting or service objectives. Material in Special Collections is included in the library's online catalog and are subject to the Special Collections Usage Policy.

Can items from this collection be loaned?: No. Because of its value or condition, Special Collections material is, with rare exceptions, used only in the library under staff supervision. It is not available for inter-library loan. Materials may be loaned to other institutions for display by special arrangement with the Associate Provost of Academic Affairs and Integrated Learning . Special Collections material is available on site to all researchers.
