Dr. Shah Limon publishes a research paper entitled “Factorial Design of Experiment Method to Characterize Bioprinting Process Parameters to Obtain the Targeted Scaffold Porosity” in 3D Printing and Additive Manufacturing
Dr. Shah Limon publishes a research paper entitled "Remaining Useful Life Prediction Using the Similarity-based Integrations of Multi-Sensors Data” in Quality Engineering Journal
Dr. Partick Burkhart publishes a research paper entitled "Holocene Evolution of Parabolic Dunes, White River Badlands, South Dakota, USA, Revealed by High-Resolution Mapping" in Quaternary Research journal
SRU earns validation for cybersecurity program from the National Secruity Agency
SRU among PASSHE universities to receive Keystone LSAMP Alliance grant
The Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection hosted its quarterly All Hands Meeting at Slippery Rock University, Sept. 13, as more than 250 DEP members were on campus, including Rich Negrín, secretary of the DEP. Negrin used the occasion to meet with officials from SRU: Michael Zieg, interim provost, and Nicole Dafoe, dean of the College of Engineering and Science.
This week, SRU signed six new articulation agreements with Butler County Community College! We now have transer agreements in place for engineering, biological science, and cybersecurity.
Congratulations to the Computer Science Department for their reaccreditation from ABET (Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology)!

Dr. Dean DeNicola whose project entails the construction of two 40ft X 40ft X 8ft deer enclosures at the Macoskey Center to provide new education activties for students and the public concerning the effects of overgrazing on the health and sustainability of forests in PA
Dr. Christopher Gioia whose project entails restoring and improving an existing biodiesel processing unit to produce biodiesel from waste cooking oil that can be used in university vehicles
Samantha Laurence whose project entails creating a 300ft accessible boardwalk at the Macoskey Center
