Summer Honors College Programs

Two students holding SRU flag

Every summer, two students from the Honors College participate in a three to four week Honors College Program sponsored by one of the fourteen PASSHE universities.

The application process is a competitive one but well worth the effort, because those students who are chosen to participate attend classes for one to two weeks at the host university before departing for an international educational component where they link what they've learned on campus with field-based experiences.

Each student who participates receives a full scholarship covering the cost of tuition, room and board, travel, and required field trips. During the international portion, a minimum of two meals per day are provided.

International Students

Recent PASSHE Summer Honors College Programs have included travel to Santiago, Spain; Oslo, Norway; the Canadian Maritimes; a tour of Europe including stops in Venice, Salzburg and London; Oxford, England; Bermuda; Egypt; and Belgium/France. Student participants describe the program as "life-altering," "utterly amazing," and "enriching beyond belief."

Countries in the program are organized thematically and focus on a particular issue. More information on the Study Abroad program is available from International Services.
