Step 4: Connect with your faculty
- If you have in-person classes and cannot attend or if you are ill and cannot complete work, email
student.affairs@sru.edu and our office will send an absence notification to faculty on your behalf. Be aware that an absence notification is provided as a courtesy and does not excuse you from any of the work required for the class; it only serves to make faculty aware of the situation. Once well, you should discuss any missed assignments or exams with your faculty.
- If you are well and your classes are online, please keep attending your classes as you normally would. In this instance, send your faculty member an email to let them know you are in quarantine or isolation.
- In the rare event that you may need to be hospitalized for any reason, contact Student Support at
student.support@sru.edu and a case manager can help walk you or a family member though potential next steps for class assignments, returning to the University and support options.
Step 5: Quarantine testing
- If you are in quarantine and need to schedule a test, call Student Health Services at 724.738.2052 to schedule.
- If you are in quarantine and are not sure if you need a test, call Student Health Services at 724.738.2052 to determine next steps.
