Let's Rock the Shot and Ink the President!

Slippery Rock University President William Behre is passionate about keeping the SRU community safe and healthy in the best of times. But during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, Behre is prepared to literally roll up his sleeve to show just how committed he is to the well-being of SRU students.

Behre announced Oct. 5, the launch of a new campuswide campaign, "Rock the Shot, Ink the President" in an effort to encourage vaccination rates among SRU students in order to keep the University as virus free as it can be. The campaign includes various prize drawings for undergraduate and current SRU graduate students attending in-person classes in either Slippery Rock or Harrisville, including reserved parking spaces on campus and free spring semester tuition based on increasing campus COVID-19 vaccination rates. And did we mention the potential for an SRU-themed tattoo on the president's arm if the student vaccination rate reaches 75%?

Keep scrolling for more details and don't forget to submit your vaccination information in our Student Health Portal to be entered into the drawings!

How to Win

As the student vaccination rate increases, the University will raffle off some great prizes for eligible students who have submitted their proof of vaccination.

Design President Behre's Tattoo

Be creative. Be fun. Represent SRU.

The fate of President Behre's arm could be in your hands - or at least created by them. What type of tattoo should he get if our vaccination rate hits the mark? Rocky's face? A plateful of Boozel tater tots? What about "Honk If You Love SRU?" The possibilities are endless! Want to incorporate the SRU logo? Go for it! Creativity is key and Rock Pride is appreciated.
