2022 Annual Student Art Exhibition

The 2022 Annual Student Art Exhibition promotes artworks made by SRU students in SRU art studio courses., Guest Artist, Laura Domencic, Director of Erie Art Museum, will jury and will award four prizes, First, Second, Third and Honorable Mention. Prize winners will be announced during the Award Reception, on Monday, January 24th from 5 pm to 6:30 pm. Laura Domencic is an artist, curator, and educator who earned her MFA from Lesley University and her BFA from Carnegie Mellon University. Recently appointed to the Erie Art Museum, she is also currently an adjunct professor at Gannon University and a lead partner and curator with The Documentary Works, a group that produces photo documentary exhibits on social and environmental justice. She has worked as an independent arts consultant leading successful fundraising efforts for a variety of institutional and individual clients, in addition to directing an artist residency program in Ambialet, France. Domencic served for 11 years as Director of the Pittsburgh Center for the Arts.

The Martha Gault Art Gallery is generously sponsored by the Art Department, The College of Liberal Arts and by the Student Government Association. The Martha Gault Art Gallery is in 102 Maltby Center, on 108 Maltby Ave, Slippery Rock University of Pennsylvania, and is all-accessible by parking and entry on College Drive near Rhoads Hall. Hours are Mondays through Thursdays, 11:00 am through 5:00 pm, except for university holidays and closures.
