Live cooking session with Colombian chef

We are excited to announce a live cooking session via zoom for faculty and staff with the Colombian chef Laura Jaramillo! Laura will open to us her beautiful kitchen in a small town in the Colombian Andes. We are delighted to celebrate together National Hispanic Month and share a fun evening learning a bit about Latin American culture while having fun.

Laura Jaramillo has been a Colombian chef and cooking teacher for 20 years. She is the owner of the restaurant MERCADO MUNICIPAL in Villa de Leyva, Colombia, and is inspired by the concept of farm to table cooking. She designs, teaches, and cooks food that promotes a circular economy, soil regeneration, secures biodiversity, and rescues local tradition. In her own words: “My cooking brings together all the Rosas, Marias and every woman and man that work the fields, harvest the crops and have dedicated their lives to feeding Colombia’s tables”.
